Get to know me in a culinary sense, and you know that I love a good balance of tangy and mildly sweet. Salad dressings drenched in sugar or sweeteners defeat the purpose of clean eating.

There’s definitely a time and place for all things sweet, but I love the fact that this dressing is low on sugar, yet so full of flavor. It’s versatile enough to be my Greek, Caesar, and grilled chicken salad dressing all in one week, without boring me!

Pile up greens and veggies...

 

 

...and toss in some dressing.

 

1/2 cup olive oil

1/4 cup vinegar

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

2 table spoons mayonnaise

1 teaspoon sugar

2 cloves garlic, minced

Kosher salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste

Directions

In a sealable container, add olive oil, vinegar, apple cider vinegar, mayonnaise, sugar, minced garlic cloves, salt and pepper. Shake to emulsify.

DID YOU KNOW: The longer non-heated dressings and sauces sit, the more flavor they develop. Prep non-heated sauces and dressings at least 2 hours in advance so they can sit and develop flavor. Dressings can be made as early as a day in advance since they will not lose color over time, and the flavor will only enrich the longer the dressing sits.
